How it all began

A beautiful yoga studio, a casual conversation about traveling the world, and a bumpy van ride to the airport in Costa Rica is how it all began. Christina and Tina came together as colleagues in 2012 at the beautiful yoga studio, Yoga Core Fit and co-creators of BEND Yoga Training in 2017. Their diverse teaching styles reach a wide audience, while their commitment to quality yoga and meditation instruction inspires students to stay with them.

Namaste! I am honored to have the opportunity to share my love for yoga and meditation with you. Yoga came into my life as an unexpected gift during a difficult struggle with post-partum depression. What began as an asana (posture) practice has grown into a vibrant multi-faceted force that I rely on daily for guidance and direction. Turning my attention toward my breath and body every day, gives me the ability to find freedom in (and from) my mind and helps me create and maintain balance in my life. More recently I have been a serious student of meditation and Buddha Dharma. This life-long practice keeps me grounded in the remembrance that life is unfolding in every minute and I am at my best when I am present for it.

Christina Rairdan

My yoga journey began with a simple New Year’s resolution back in 1998. After years of teaching fitness classes, I realized my body is a temple and it was time to treat it with respect and kindness. I quickly realized that through my yoga practice I found balance both physically and spiritually in my life. From this process of self-acceptance and spiritual growth grew a desire to share yoga with others, and I pursed my yoga certification in January 1999.

I have witnessed how a regular yoga practice has helped many students with chronic pain and physical injuries. As a certified Spinning and Pilates instructor I have the opportunity to work with many athletes and have seen the correlation of incorporating a yoga practice into their training module and improved sport performance. Yoga truly is for everybody and can be as physically challenging and powerful or as restorative as needed.   

My passion is an athletic based Vinyasa Flow. I enjoy bringing my fitness background into my yoga classes and I encourage students to embrace their own “edge” by recognizing the physical intention of each posture while remaining mindful to the importance of breath with proper alignment.

I am honored to guide my students along THEIR yoga journey.  It is my desire to meet each student where they are in their practice and carrying them towards who they wish to be on and off the mat.
