Bend Yoga Teacher Training RYT-200
BEND Yoga Teacher Training is a Yoga Alliance registered 200-hour program. You might choose this training to deepen your personal practice or to be inspired to teach! Drawing from the best of yoga traditions, this training blends east with west. We offer an in-depth study of alignment-based Vinyasa flow practice, built on the principles of anatomy and the philosophical roots of yoga. By providing a safe and supportive educational space, students will be guided in their journey towards clarifying their unique personal vision.
“I participated in the Bend YTT class of 2019. During our year together, we covered yoga philosophy, meditation, breath work, anatomy, connecting with students, hands-on adjustments and queuing off the mat. In spite of teaching group fitness classes for seven years, this program has hands-down provided the greatest guidance for me as a teacher.
The quality of this program was well worth the investment of time and money due to the organized curriculum and mentorship Christina and Tina provided (and continue to provide!) As a working mother of two kiddos, the structure of our weekends made the training feasible, and provided me time to implement the skills we would learn.
I have been teaching yoga classes regularly since we completed the program, and I am so grateful for the foundation of skill, community and confidence that the Bend Yoga Teacher training has provided. I recommend wholeheartedly!”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD I EXPECT TO SPEND OUTSIDE OF CLASS TIME ON ASSIGNMENTS OR HOMEWORK?
Expect to spend between 1-2 hours per week on homework in addition to your established asana practice. The homework is designed to support the material covered in class and help you integrate what is presented into your own practice and teaching. If you are not planning on teaching after this course, you may choose not to complete all of the homework assignments and take the course for non-credit. However, if you wish to receive your Diploma and Letter of Completion to be submitted to Yoga Alliance, you must attend all the sessions (see make-up policy) and complete all the homework assignments
ATTENDANCE AND CLASS MAKE-UP POLICY
The BEND Yoga Teacher Training is a 200-hour program over a span of 10 months, and is in accordance with Yoga Alliance guidelines. All 200 hours (180 hours in class with additional 20 + hours outside of class, i.e. observations, participation, homework and in class assisting) must be completed to fulfill the requirements of the program and to receive the certification that allows a student to register with Yoga Alliance. We understand that sometimes conflicts may come up and students may miss portions of or sometimes the whole session, and we have established a make-up policy to deal with those situations. When appropriate the lead trainers may either assign extra written assignments, class observations, participation and/or analysis with a RYT or additional assignments related to missed coursework to make up the material and time missed. If any additional time with lead trainers is required students will have the option to schedule a private session with a lead trainer at an additional cost.
“Through Bend Yoga’s 12-month training program, we didn’t just learn information for completion; we learned and experienced a transformation. While Directors Tina and Christina are completely opposite in personality and the types of classes they personally teach, their synergy served us students well by creating a richer learning environment with both breadth and depth. Also, the way in which they thoughtfully curated the curriculum enabled each of us to discover, develop, and exercise our own teaching voice throughout the course of the program. ”

“After completing this training, I walked away feeling confident that all of the learning and tools I had been given prepared me to teach right away. The structure of the program was well thought out and the schedule of training one full weekend a month for a year was perfect for life balance and being able to practice what we learned each month. It was a benefit to have two teachers with different strengths and personalities, this allowed students to find their own authentic voice. Tina and Christina are more than teachers, they truly mentored students in this program.”

Yoga Training Mentor Call
Join Christina or Tina on the first Thursday of each month at 8:00 pm for a mentor call to discuss topics, and questions related to being a yoga teacher. Maybe you have questions about specific poses, or how to handle a student issue that came up in class, or you are looking for thematic ideas to use in your class. This is the forum where you may discuss your questions and concerns with an experienced mentor and peer group. There is no monthly commitment, join the call whenever you want, and stay on the call for the full time or for a portion of the call. This service is being offered to support yoga teachers and to create a community resource. Please offer a donation using the link below for the call. 100% of the money collected will go back to participants through a lottery to support continuing yoga education.
